Leigh Photography Studio is a dedicated studio based in Leigh, Greater Manchester, specialising in iris photography and the creation of unique eye portraits designed as artwork.
Located just outside Manchester, the studio offers a relaxed, one-to-one experience where each session is focused on capturing the incredible detail, colour and texture within your eye. Every iris is completely different, and the aim is always to create something personal rather than a standard, repeatable image.
We are open 7 days a week, including evenings and Bank Holidays, by appointment only.

Monday to Friday: 11:00am – 9:00pm
Saturday & Sunday: 11:00am – 5:00pm

This isn’t a production-line setup. Every session is carried out individually, with time taken to get the best possible result without rushing the process.
From the moment you arrive, everything is kept simple and straightforward. You’ll be guided through the capture, and your images are carefully edited afterwards to enhance detail and clarity while keeping everything natural.
The focus is always on quality, not quantity.
The studio is run by Steve Lowrey, a professional photographer with years of experience working with clients across Manchester, Leigh and the surrounding areas.
With a background in studio photography, the approach is always centred around creating images that people actually want to keep, print and display. Iris photography is a natural extension of that — combining technical precision with something genuinely personal.
